UK Tax Service Offers Extensions Due To Own Computer Glitch
from the how-nice-of-them... dept
The Inland Revenue Service in the UK apparently wasn't quite ready for people to file their tax returns online. Computer glitches resulted in many "submission failed!" messages to reach frantic taxpayers. Due to this, they've actually extended the filing deadline by two weeks -- though, only if the person tried to submit returns earlier and failed. At least they admitted to the problem and came up with a reasonable solution to solve it -- though, you have to wonder how many people came close to having a heart attack when their tax returns kept getting rejected.
