Crystal Ball... Hazy
from the so-much-for-that-plan dept
Silicon Valley's much hyped "Churchill Club: Top 10 Technology Trends" dinner apparently left some scratching their heads at a bunch of totally obvious, and somewhat boring predictions. Does this mean that technology really is maturing, or that the prognosticators have no idea what the "next big thing" really is? It could be a little of both. It seems that, if you look at the past few "next big things," most people didn't realize how big they would really be. By the time people do realize it, it's because they're already big. So, maybe Silicon Valley should do a little less predicting, and a little more innovating. It will all work out in the end.
