XM vs. iPod Or None Of The Above?
from the so-what? dept
theodp writes "With no customized play list feature and 130 channels no one wants, Slate's Paul Boutin is less-than-wowed by the new XM MiFi. Nor is he impressed by the new iPod Photo's ability to turn your iPod into a camera phone that can't take pictures or make calls. What's needed, Boutin suggests, is a wireless iPod that can suck down live updates or a MyFi that lets one play every track that XM has ever broadcast." Originally I had avoided both these stories, as they both seem to be getting more hype than they're worth. It's nice to see both companies experimenting, but they could both go much further.
