New York Times Says Identity Theft Is Bad
from the it's-real-bad dept
In case you hadn't realized it, the NY Times is now reporting that this identity theft stuff is really bad. Of course, that's what plenty of people have been saying for years, but still not much has been done to fix many of the problems -- which still seem to start with those who grant credit. To be honest, however, what's so scary is that we've been seeing these same exact articles for at least five years now, and yet, very little seems to have changed. Somewhere along the line you would think that the articles would shift from "man, identity theft is really, really bad" to "here are some solutions to identity theft." However, we're still just discussing how bad a problem it is, without anyone suggesting any real solutions.
