Social Phishing Buddies

from the who's-your-friendster-now? dept

Well, now, people are realizing that with all this talk about phishing, the next line of phishing attacks may come via those social networks. Sure, you may have learned to be a bit skeptical concerning any email claiming to be from Citibank (the main target of phishing emails), but what if it appears to come from a friend, and even incorporates some information they've said about you or other accurate information about them? Maybe it isn't always such a good thing for everyone to know who all your friends are.
