20% Of Online Koreans Victims Of Massive Personal Info Theft

Think your personal info is safe? Over in South Korea, police have arrested a group of 15 people who worked at various mobile phone companies, and who accessed and sold the personal info of about 6 million people -- approximately one-fifth of all mobile phone users in the country. It's unclear what personal info they had access to, but it appears the info was sold to marketers, rather than organized crime groups for identity theft purposes. Still, it's a good (unfortunate) reminder that, no matter what you do to protect yourself from identity theft, just a small group of people who have access to your info could easily cause you all sorts of problems.
