Email Flamewars Reach The Office
from the uh.--they-just-realized-this? dept
Apparently, some researchers in Australia have just figured out what just about anyone with a job and an email address already knows: email is used for intra-office "warfare." Basically, they've realized that flamewars happen inside the office as well, as the same conditions exist that cause flamewars on mailing lists around the world. The ease of responding too quickly in print, and not thinking about the reactions of those who will receive the message, makes it fairly common.
