How Safe Is Your Online Data?
from the not-so-safe,-apparently dept
As hosted ASP-model software applications are making a big comeback these days, it's worth remembering that web-based applications are very often hackable. In fact, a new report claims that over 90% of web applications have security vulnerabilities, and fixing them often introduces new vulnerabilities. Since one of the supposed "benefits" of web-based apps is they can roll out updates at any time, this also means that they can roll out new vulnerabilities at any time. This is going to become a bigger issue as more companies move their data to such systems and eventually one of them will get hacked.
