Radar technology certainly isn't new, but that doesn't mean there aren't improvements. CSMonitor has a brief overview of some new developments in radar technology, and how they'll be used in both military and civilian applications. There's one whole section on how automakers see radar as "the next big thing in safety," discussing pre-collision warning systems, blindspot watchers and adaptive cruise control.

    Contrary to popular myth, microwaves do not cause genetic mutations or other bodily harm. It is a perfectly viable source for heating rooms, but public hysteria over "microwaves" prevents the adoption of microwave room heaters.
