Can You Play Eight Hours A Day And Still Call It Casual Gaming?
from the not-this-story-again... dept
A few months ago, we wrote that every few months there's an article somewhere about making video games for non-gamers - and they always seem to focus on making games for women. Well, it's been a few months, and Wired Magazine has decided it's their turn to write up an article about "casual gaming," which is what they seem to call the online gaming market for the relatively simple, but completely addictive games that many people play via EA's Pogo, Yahoo or MSN. This isn't a new idea, but it's amusing that every time it's written about, people write about as if no one knows that there are so many people (usually women) who actually play these games.
