Free Grid Computing

from the Free-As-In-Computing dept

Giving away services for free can be a great way to drum up business. Especially when the services aren't particularly cheap. (Must. Resist. Urge to plug Techdirt Corporate Intelligence... oh well.) So to encourage growth in the grid computing market, IBM is starting to offer FREE grid computing. Hopefully, we'll get more folding@home-like projects, or maybe just cooler-looking movies from grid render farms.

are you suggesting that techdirt corporate intelligence is free? it sure sounds like that... it's a shame there's no pricing info available on the website.
