Ban On Corporate Cybersnooping In Australia

from the against-the-law dept

That is, employers will no longer be able to use electronic means to spy on their employees - unless they can show "reasonable suspicion of wrongdoing." It's unfortunate that it's actually reached the stage where such a law is necessary - considering there's plenty of evidence that employees who are constantly being snooped on perform less well than those who believe they actually have the trust and respect of their employers.
