Ban On Corporate Cybersnooping In Australia
from the against-the-law dept
Down in New South Wales, Australia, they've decided to ban corporate cybersnooping. That is, employers will no longer be able to use electronic means to spy on their employees - unless they can show "reasonable suspicion of wrongdoing." It's unfortunate that it's actually reached the stage where such a law is necessary - considering there's plenty of evidence that employees who are constantly being snooped on perform less well than those who believe they actually have the trust and respect of their employers.
