Apple Ads Smacked Down By Dell

from the a-bit-late... dept

It seems that Dell took offense to some Apple ads last year that touted the "the world's fastest, most powerful personal computer" and also claimed that they were "the world's first 64-bit processor for personal computers." So, they complained to the Better Business Bureau who has told Apple they can no longer make those claims because they're not entirely accurate. Apple, however, has already finished running that ad, so they basically have agreed not to run it again. Seems like a pretty good deal. Apparently you can create misleading ads, so long as you take them down before your competitors complain.
