The Internet: It's Not Just For Work And Home Any More

from the wherever-you-want-to-go dept

The latest from the folks at the Pew Internet and American Life Project (who seem to be releasing interesting statistical finds every other day or so) is that a quarter of US adults surveyed have accessed the internet from somewhere other than home or at work. I'm actually a bit surprised that this isn't higher - especially considering that "a friend's house" is included in the options. The study also found that a larger percentage of such "non-standard" access points came from lower income users who simply don't have access at home or at work, but still want to get online.
