Who Needs Instruments When You Have A Computer?
from the you-mean-you-actually-played-a-guitar? dept
I guess it's a sign of the times. Over in Singapore, many elementary school students are learning how to make music on a computer, rather than via traditional instruments. Schools say that it has helped them save money since they don't need to buy all the various instruments, and the students tend to enjoy messing around with a computer more than they enjoy learning to play a traditional instrument. I'm sure some traditionalists are horrified. Still, it sounds like these kids are creating some interesting music.
