A Reasonable Recommendation On Camera Phones? Shocker
from the no,-really? dept
While META Group continues to go around telling everyone that they should ban all camera phones, the folks at Gartner have actually taken some time to think about things and have come up with a much more reasonable response to camera phones. They point out that, as with any technology, there's the potential for misuse - which people should be aware of. However, an outright ban doesn't make sense (besides being unlikely to work). Instead, they recommend clear usage guidelines. This makes sense. They're basically saying to ban the bad actions, and not the technology itself. Why is this so difficult for other analysts and reporters to understand?
