Edgar Bronfman Embracing Digital Music? I Doubt It

from the do-people-change? dept

The Inquirer is looking at the new ownership of Warner Music and are interpreting some of Edgar Bronfman's comments to suggest that they're going to embrace new digital technologies and digital music. That seems unlikely. This is, of course, the same Edgar Bronfman who gave a big speech four years ago declaring war on file sharers (long before the rest of the music industry followed suit) and declaring that it was important that a select few folks got to choose what sort of content everyone else was allowed to view on the internet. He's from the old school broadcast world, and everything looks like a broadcast medium to him.
