Microsoft Sets Up Alternate Web Site To Avoid MyDoom
from the how-about-that... dept
Yesterday, all the news about the MyDoom virus was focused on the fact that SCO had set up a new website after their regular one was taken offline by the denial of service attack launched by the myDoom. Of course, the later version of myDoom was set to do a similar denial of service attack on Microsoft. When I heard that SCO changed their website, I thought there was no way Microsoft could do that - but, apparently, they have. Just in case things go wrong, Microsoft is setting up an alternate website and are (clearly) making sure that everyone knows about it ahead of time.
