Better Technology Predictions Through Spam

I've been doing my best to avoid all those "my predictions for 2004" articles out there, but Salon has put together a good list of tongue-firmly-in-cheek predictions, including two that are inspired by spam. First, they say that the demand for porn decreases as, thanks to spam, men and women suddenly find their real life sex life fulfilling. Second, they predict that any real advancements in regaining hair or causing weight loss will be ignored by those disillusioned by such claims in all the spam they get. Other good predictions: Google admits that they really just want to take over the world and Osama bin Laden is caught via his Friendster addiction. Finally, a predictions article worth reading.
