Musicians That Give Away Music
from the good-for-them dept
Well, it's a start. We're pretty harsh here on folks in the music industry who can't seem to figure out how to use music for promotional purposes, but at the same time, we should encourage those who do understand how the world is changing. Thus, it's nice to see the San Francisco Chronicle put out a big list of well known musicians who offer up some downloadable music for free. It's not at all comprehensive, but it does prove a nice counter point to the recording industry's insistence that "if you didn't pay for it, you stole it".
