RIAA Says Backlash From Lawsuits Was Less Than Expected

The Boston Globe is running an interview with Cary Sherman of the RIAA talking about the recent lawsuits filed against those the RIAA claims have been sharing music illegally. When asked about the backlash from the lawsuits, Sherman says: "it's been a remarkably small public relations backlash" and that they expected it to be worse. He also says that CD sales are up, and he thinks the lawsuits are the reason why - though, that can obviously be questioned.
