Google Buys Primedia's Sprinks Advertising Service

Well, if Yahoo can buy every other search technology company around, it looks like Google is going to make a few purchases of their own. They've signed a deal to provide Primedia's About.com with their own Google ads, which probably comes as a surprise to those who know that Primedia owns their own competing text ad service called Sprinks. Not any more. As part of the deal, Google is buying Sprinks, leaving one less competitor in the contextual advertising world.
