Take A Virtual Prison Tour
from the why-that-seems-positively-lovely dept
Apparently too many prisoners in the UK were showing up for their first day at prison confused and unsure of what the process was, or what prison life would be like. Along come some webheads to the rescue. The UK prison system has launched an online virtual tour of prison life. It's not designed to be for entertainment, but for educational purposes for those about to enter the prison system. Of course, if you go through the actual tour, they seem to give off this sense that prisons are a nice, happy place (so many smiling faces!) - which might not be the impression they want to be giving.
