Yahoo Testing A Google-Free Lifestyle In Australia

This should come as a surprise to absolutely no one, but Yahoo, who has bought, or is in the process of buying, just about every other search vendor other than their "search partner" Google, wants to move Google out from the Yahoo search world. As a test, Yahoo is seeing what the world is like if they use their own Inktomi engine instead of Google on searches done in Australia. They're going to compare the two, and see if Inktomi can hold its own.
