A Video Game You Should Play Outside
from the go-outside-and-play dept
One of the common complaints about kids playing so many video games is that they never go outside. Now, Konami may have a solution to that problem. They're releasing a game called "Boktai: The Sun is in Your Hand," for the Game Boy Advance where playing in the sunlight gives you an advantage. The game cartridge has a solar sensor built in, and your character is stronger in direct sunlight. The game involves fighting vampires, so I guess it fits in with the gameplay. Of course, what's to stop kids from just sitting with their Game Boy's up against a lightbulb or something? Next up: handheld games that force kids to run around and get some exercise.

Seriously, the game had better be good otherwise I can see the 'outside' factor actually taking away from sales.
