The Return Of The Day Traders
from the return-to-the-bubble dept
Need any more evidence that we're returning to bubble-like years? Startups are getting money from VCs, the Nasdaq is going up, dot com company valuations are starting to reach head-scratching levels, and internet companies are even going public again. What's missing? Oh yeah, the number of day traders is going up again. Of course, day trading can successfully occur whether the market is going up or down, but the masses seem to only prefer to daytrade when the market is going up. We can hope that all of this activity is a bit more tempered with the knowledge of what was learned a few years back, but the opportunity for easy money often plays tricks with one's memory.
