Phish Fans' Devotion Offers Lucrative Net Opportunity

from the look-at-that... dept

Back in January we wrote about the band Phish's plan to offer live recordings of their concerts online for downloading. It appears this strategy is working. In the first few months of offering this deal, the band has made over a million dollars from doing so, saying that it was "profitable from day one." Just another example that there are different business models out there for bands willing to experiment with them.

Of course, this is on top of Phish having gotten where it is thanks to the music industry.
