Munich is talking about the RFID-enabled beer glass that Mitsubishi is working on. I did actually see this yesterday, but we usually don't post direct links to sites, preferring to stick to news sources. However, I'll use this to point out that I have nothing against RFID, which I think can be quite useful. It's just that there are privacy issues that haven't clearly been answered. In this case, though, it's clearly one where there aren't any privacy issues - and, in fact, you want to broadcast your situation. Anyway, it's good to see places like Mitsubishi working hard on products that will really make a difference in our lives...
