For Families Of Divorce, An Online Link To Sanity

from the niche-apps dept

One nice thing about the internet is if you can't find an online application that does what you need it to do, it's often not too hard to build your own. That's what a somewhat extended family (lots of divorces, step-kids, adopted kids, and more - I couldn't follow all the links) discovered. In trying to set a reasonable schedule for the extended family to follow, they wanted a simple web-based application. So, they built one. Now, it's not only catching on with other such families, it's become a big hit with judges and lawyers as well. While they say that the current legal process for divorce tends to encourage acrimony, when the judges suggest (or sometimes order) families to use this online system, many of the problems go away.
