Four Internet Service Providers Sue SBC
from the another-antitrust-suit dept
Four small ISPs have filed an antitrust lawsuit against SBC, claiming that SBC has been "illegally manipulating" California's DSL market. The complaint suggests that they're keeping the wholesale prices of DSL artificially high, pushing these smaller ISPs out of the market, so that SBC can offer the service to customers directly. Of course, this is what you would expect when you have a company that has to partner with its own competitors. They're going to push the limits of the law as much as possible to make life as difficult as possible for those ISPs.
