Michael Powell May Be Leaving The FCC

Following a series of highly contested rulings from the FCC, rumors are swirling that the agency's head, Michael Powell, is planning to bail out. The report says that he's told friends he's hoping to leave by the fall, and most of his top staff has started looking for other jobs.

    "Industry sources" (i.e., lobbyists with an axe to grind) told the reporter that they heard this from "confidants". Pretty weak. Wall Street Journal reported on Friday that he's not leaving.
