Deep Linking In Germany Now Legal
from the about-time dept
Found over at Greplaw is this bit of news, which is a followup to any number of stories we've had about ridiculous rulings against "deep linking". The latest news out of Germany is that deep linking is now legal in Germany. The court decided (correctly) that it was silly to require anyone entering a website to start at the homepage. "The court stressed the importance of deep links for the internet and held that it is up to the plaintiffs to prevent deep links with technical measures, if they don't like them." Finally, a sensible decision on the issue.
