Judge Throws Out Dot Com Investor Lawsuits
from the smart-move dept
A judge has wisely thrown out two lawsuits by investors who were suing Wall Street firms, pointing out that these investors were really "high-risk speculators", and they certainly wouldn't have sued had they made money. While the folks on Wall Street were clearly being somewhat dishonest in their actions, anyone doing the slightest bit of due diligence would realize that most of the companies they were touting weren't going anywhere. People who bought into the hype and invested just because Merrill Lynch said so don't deserve a "reward".
