Wiring Wimbledon - Part II
from the technological-advancements dept
Last year at this time, we had a story about how the Wimbledon tennis tournament was getting wired with all sorts of technology innovations. Apparently, that went over so well last year, that they're going even more high tech this year. This will include special cameras to make line in/out calls as well as a local wireless network that will encourage people to log into the Wimbledon website from their PDA - where they'll be able to (of course) buy lots of Wimbledon gear or pay up for "exclusive" interviews and additional content, for those who can't get enough just be looking at the court.
