Microsoft Files 15 Court Actions Against Spammers
from the take-'em-down dept
Microsoft is stepping up their own fight against spam by filing 15 lawsuits against spammers. Thirteen are in the US, and 2 are in the UK. The spams are of many different varieties, including a fake virus warning (supposedly from Microsoft) that instructed people to download some spyware that tracked their every move. According to the press release from Microsoft, it looks like they've identified who most of the spammers are, though a few are listed as "John Does".
