New Media Rules Have Wall Street Talking

For all the hype about last week’s FCC rulings on media ownership, there was lots of talk about how media would start consolidating into a few huge conglomerates. Now, in the aftermath, as analyst are looking around, they’re realizing that mass media is already run by a few huge conglomerates, and these rules aren’t likely to change very much. As they point out, the big consolidation already took place without these rules. Mostly, the impact of these rules seems like to be a bunch of smaller deals to clean up around the edges.
