New Attempt To Recycle TVs, Computers Passes California Senate
from the recycle-away dept
California politicians are trying, once again, to require electronics manufacturers to put in place recycling plans. Of course, in the past year (since the last such bill was vetoed), many companies have started to do so. The last bill just added an "e-waste" surcharge to every item - but this one is a bit more sensible. It just says manufacturers need to come up with a way to more easily recycle their goods. I'm assuming that things like Dell's home pickup recycling program is the type of thing they're looking for.
