Bonzi Settles Deceptive Ad Suit
from the your-computer-really-isn't-insecure dept
Bonzi, the pop-up ad marketing company that confused plenty of not-so-tech-savvy surfers into clicking on their pop-up ads by making them look like Microsoft Windows' warning dialog boxes, has settled the deceptive advertising lawsuit filed against them. They're not going to pay anything (other than legal fees), but have agreed to add the word "Advertisement" to any such pop-ups in the future. Of course, I'm sure these ads will still fool plenty of people into clicking.
