eBay Guilty Of Patent Infringement
from the that-can't-be-good dept
A jury has found that eBay is guilty of patent infringement. They've ordered eBay to pay the guy $35 million, which might be tripled to $105 due to "willful infringement". They also may be forced to remove the "buy it now" feature from their site. Yet another example of how patents are encouraging innovation? Of course, eBay will very quickly appeal this decision - and are actually asking the judge to overturn the jury's ruling.
