Babelfish's Silliest Translations
from the watch-what-you're-saying dept
If you ever use Babelfish to translate websites, you know that it doesn't do the greatest job - but you can usually figure out the basic point of whatever you're reading. At least the folks at AltaVista seem to have a sense of humor about the tool, as they've put together a list of the most humorous translations. The best ones mentioned in the article appear to be the German-English translations: "To go wrong" in German ("In die hosen gehen") translates as "To go in the trousers" while the German phrase for "I don't mind" ("Es ist mir wurst") becomes "It's Sausage to me".
