Information Overload Becoming Information Obesity

Everyone understands information overload, but it's getting worse all the time, and many people don't know how to deal with it. Thanks to the nature of digital information being infinitely reproduceable there's a bit of an "information glut" that just keeps feeding us more and more information. Many people aren't ready to handle so much info coming their way, and it ends up slowing them down more than helping. Clearly, people need better ways of organizing themselves when dealing with information, and determining what information is important. Of course, this article doesn't do much to suggest solutions - it just points out the problem that we all know about. They also blame the problem on our "more must be better" culture, that doesn't know when to stop taking in more information.
