Man Receives Kidney Via Internet Donor
from the see,-the-internet-is-useful dept
One of the famous "fake eBay auctions" was someone trying to sell their kidneys online. Like so many such auctions, eBay didn't let it last too long, but perhaps they should have. It turns out there really is a market online for kidneys, and someone has now received a kidney transplant from someone he met online. The guy couldn't find a kidney donor through regular means, and went to a special online site to find donors - and it only took one day to find the donor.
