from the sounds-like-a-bad-dot-com dept
For years, people have said that the anonymous nature of the internet allowed some people to be even more honest than they were in person. For some people, that's helpful - so, why not move situations where personal honesty is important online? Just like the DMV, drug treatment is moving online. That's right. There's now an online drug rehabilitation program. While this sounds like something that would have raised multiple millions of dollars during the boom years, apparently it's a serious endeavor these days, run by a group that runs a series of "real-life" drug addiction centers as well. There seem to be mixed opinions on the online drug treatment program, which makes sense. Like anything, it sounds like it's the right thing for some types of people, while others need a very different kind of treatment.
