Confessions Of A Former Spammer
from the not-good dept
It seems so popular these days for newspapers to do their "interviews with a spammer". However, since those spammers are quickly discovered and bombarded with regular junkmail or hate mail, it appears they've been getting a lot quieter. A local newspaper in Oregon has now tracked down a guy who claims to be an "ex-spammer", who only spammed for six months, to tell the world the secret life of being a spammer. The guy goes through the usual justifications of a spammer, saying it's no big deal. He doesn't seem to understand why anyone could possibly get upset at spam. However, he says that all the angry messages from people eventually convinced him to get out of the game - saying it just wasn't worth it.
