How Krispy Kreme Uses New Tools For Old-Fashioned Doughnuts

I have to admit, growing up in the Northeast, I'd never even heard of Krispy Kreme until a few years ago (it was all Dunkin' Donuts for me). But, now that Krispy Kreme has come to California, I can see why some people obsess about it. It also turns out the company is well known for embracing technology in their operations - but only if it's designed to make the process of making or selling doughnuts better. As they say, their killer app is doughnuts, and everything else the company does has to support that.
