Forget The Government, Worry About Companies Supporting The Patriot Act

While there has been a lot of grumbling about the way the US government seems to be taking away freedoms left and right, thanks to the Patriot Act, Salon is pointing out that plenty of tech companies are profiting on the Patriot Act. They're offering up surveillance and other technologies to make "compliance" easier. While the regulations are a bit vague, the software is doing the dirty work to make sure that you probably don't have any privacy any more.
