What's Yahoo's Stake In Online Betting?
from the nitpicky dept
A few years back, some reporter noticed that Yahoo stores let people sell porn DVDs (and even had a designated section for it) and started a campaign that made Yahoo drop that profitable line of business (though, they'd been doing it for years without anyone noticing). Now, however, another reporter has noticed that Yahoo has quietly launched an online horse betting site and wonders if they're going to face the same sort of morality issues from the public. As long as they're not marketing these sorts of things at children, I'm not sure I see what the big deal is.
