Notorious Net Con Artist Sentenced
from the that's-what-you-get-for-eBay-fraud dept
We've followed the saga of Jay Nelson, the eBay scam artist, who eluded authorities for a while, earning him the nickname, "the internet's John Dillinger". He was eventually caught and pleaded guilty to a variety of crimes, and has now been sentenced to six and a half years in jail for his crimes. This is just the latest in a series of online fraudsters who are getting thrown in jail - which, hopefully, will lessen the belief that online crimes are somehow untraceable.
