Google As A Knowledge Operating System
from the different-perspective dept
The folks at Microdoc news find more to write about concerning Google than you could possibly imagine. What's even more surprising is that it's consistently interesting. Their latest piece suggests that Google is really much more than a search engine. It's becoming a knowledge operating system, handling all sorts of knowledge storage and retrieval tasks on the internet. Thinking about Google this way certainly opens up some of the possibilities for Google, both from an end-user perspective as well as for folks internal to Google. So, of course, the next question is how long until Microsoft views Google as a threat and tries to do something about it?
