Take This Tech Job And Shove It
from the sure-there-are-jobs... dept
I still have a bunch of out-of-work friends around who are barely looking for jobs at all. These days, they know, the job market is barely worth examining. However, Salon points out that there are jobs out there, if you have 10 years experience working in some obscure industry with an obsolete technology... and, oh yeah, you're willing to work for free. Someone has even put together a creatively named website that posts these types of ridiculous job postings. Basically, companies that need someone know that they have the upper hand these days. So, they'll ask for ridiculous qualifications, and then mention that the job is really an "internship".
